![]() So whenever an (older) iClone user asks "It's 2020, will the native renderer be upgraded?" or "Can we please have more polys per scene?" RL's answer will be: "We have Unreal Live Link, what more do you want?" (essentialy telling us to go learn Unreal or be stuck with 1-2 million polys per scene). And RL partnered up with Unreal to "wash their hands" on the aspect of visual quality and performance. From what I understand iClone has become more of a tool for gamers, for creating characters and animating them. At the same time I see videos revealing Unreal 5, and the scenes they show have hundreds of BILLIONS of polygons. ![]() ![]() I am kinda sad that iClone still can't handle more than 1-2 million polygons (depending on the user's machine), or that it struggles if there are meshes with 4k or 8k textures in a scene.
